MEETEETSE SHOOTING RANGE
The Meeteetse Shooting Range is located along State Highway 120 about a mile south of the 290/120 junction downtown, on the west (right) side of the highway. Enter from the highway at the rodeo grounds and make two left turns (see map).
Features of the Meeteetse shooting range:
- A rifle range with target stands at 50, 100 and 200 yards
- A pistol range with 3 target stands, accommodating shooting from 5 to 25 yards
- A covered shooting line with five bench rests
- Restroom
- An open area for shotgun and archery practice, southwest of the main rifle and pistol range
No services are available, so bring your own paper or steel targets. The range is owned and maintained by the Town of Meeteetse and is open to the public at no cost, year-round. The range is adjacent to the town rodeo grounds and cemetery; use of the range is prohibited during rodeos, funerals or related events at the town venues. The Meeteetse Shooting Club holds most of its events at the shooting range, where it also performs or contributes to periodic improvement projects. Please obey the signs posted at the range.

SHOOTING RANGE INFORMATION

The Meeteetse Shooting Club extends its sincere thanks to the NRA Foundation for its generous contribution toward funding an improvement project at the shotgun range. In 2019, the club plans to add paved shooting stations, mechanical target throwers and electricity, and to offer regular youth events with club-provided shotguns, shells and clay pigeons.
