About The Meeteetse Shooting Club
The club is dedicated to the encouragement of firearms proficiency and safety, for members, youth and for the community at large. We promote education about firearms, hold monthly, informal shooting contests, and carry out improvement projects on the local shooting range.
Some of the recent community events organized by the Meeteetse Shooting Club were a Wyoming Concealed Firearm Permit class taught by a local Deputy Sheriff (passage of which satisfied the firearm safety and proficiency requirement for the permit) and a Basic Pistol for Women class taught by an experienced Park County instructor. The club also gave support to a local teenager to travel out-of-state to a national firearms tournament.
Meetings are held on the third Thursday each month at 7 pm at the American Legion Hall in the basement of the Senior Center or at the trap field clubhouse, depending on the weather. The Meeteetse Shooting Club is a 501(c)(3) organization, tax-exempt under IRS regulations and eligible to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.
